I drew / painted this durring the Hurricane Sandy blackout about a week and a half ago. I used india ink for the black, and I threw in some watercolor gouache for a splash of color.

When inking, I wanted to add some texture to the background. So I cut a piece of tracing paper to be the shape of the old western man and tapped the paint brush so it would drip dots of various sizes all over the background.
