An Android Homescreen I made for my Samsung Galaxy SIII inspired by Windows Metro and the great UI design in the Avengers movie (you know, all the cool shit on the screens in the Helicarrier?). I used the default Android Launcher for this because I always have a problem with Launcher Pro. It was super easy to do:

1) First, I made this nice background in Illustrator. Go ahead, you can steal it. I don’t mind.

2) Next, I got Real Widget. This will make the large box look like Windows Metro. I’m pretty sure you have to get the paid version to be able to customize it well, but it’s only a dollar, so don’t be cheap and just support small developers.

3) Real Widget has a white icon for the default Android browser, but if you want to use Chrome like I do, here's their white logo that I whipped up. You can change it in the Real Widget settings for that particular square.

4) Power Control Plus has a nice 3 row layout for the right hand tabs. The free version has hardly any customization, so suck it up and buy it. Make sure you set the transparency to 100%.

5) Finally, Mobile Signal Widget for the blue circle in the bottom right corner. This time, you can get away with the free version, however you can’t make the background transparent and you’re stuck with that stupid android smiley face. You’ll see what I mean.

And that’s it. Feel free to deviate from this too for the additional home screens. Also, let me know what you think about it, maybe I’ll do more stuff like this.

Edit: I did a lockscreen too! Get it here.
